Three Hour Firework Frenzy in Los Realejos every 3rd May
No wonder they claim that this firework display for the Fiestas de la Cruz in Los Realejos is one of the best in Europe, it will last for an unbelievable three hours and will burn up 6000 kilos of explosives. They don't do anything by halves here, do they?

The reason for this extravaganza is that two streets, Del Medio and El Sol have made it into a traditional, annual battle to try to outdo each other with the most spectacular displ

Carnival: The most spectacular festival of the year is celebrated all around the island beginning late February and ending in March. The biggest celebrations take place in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Puerto de la Cruz. Dress up or you might feel a bit strange within all the others. People will dance all night long so get ready for an unforgettable event; Tenerife Carnival is probably the closest you can get to the Carnival of Rio without leaving Europe.

People like to party and celebrate a lot and if possible all night long on Tenerife. They celebrate a lot of traditional events such as Romerias, to honour the saint or protector of their villages. Those festivals are all very well prepared and the ambience is unique and not compareable to anything else. People make saltpaintings or flower carpets which look incredible. They usually also play traditional Canarian music and love to drink a couple of rums with coke. The biggest party is without a

Gara is the Guanche word for island, and Chico is Castillian for small islet. The obvious reference point for it's name is the small rock island which sits just off-shore from the town. Garachico is well worth considering for a quieter north Tenerife holiday base, although it's not so quiet when the many day trippers arrive in Garachico (usually around lunchtime). There's much to attract contemporary visitors including the volcanically formed natural saltwater pools on this stretch of rocky coas

The most fascinating fact about El Monasterio is that it is build over the remains of an authentic monastery.
Real Club de Golf de Tenerife
Founded in 1932, this is the second oldest golf club in Spain and still preserves a typically British air of distinction. Situated at 600m above sea level it boasts 18 holes in undulating fairways that ascend with a spectacular view of Teide. The dry stream beds play a part in several holes. The 4th hole is one of the most difficult because you have to be on the green at the second stroke, as there are out of bounds to the left and drops to the right. Impressive ol
